How long have you been on DeviantArt?: A little over 5 years.
What does your username mean?: Nothing special. I think the history behind it is more important to me than the actual meaning of the name, as it kind of embodied my transition from fanart to original work, which was a big step for me and my projects.
Describe yourself in three words.: ...Stubborn? Perceptive, anxious.
Are you left or right handed?: Right handed.
What was your first deviation?: I uh...think I deleted it awhile ago. Gah.
What is your favorite type of art to create?: Concept art, designs, and written fiction. I'm hoping to have my Children of Nowhere series published some day, along with several other novels I'm planning on writing.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?: I have a style in my head, I just haven't reached it yet. Something that uses intricate lines with semi-realism, but distorted with an artistic license. It's a little hard to put into words...or on paper. >:
What was your first favorite?:
What type of art do you tend to favorite the most?: Weird stuff, unique stuff, different styles. Darker themed art with a muddy or natural palette is my preference, but first and foremost I am addicted to styles. Cartoon, dark, bouncy, stark, colorful, whatever. I love styles that emulate 'life' or movement while retaining their own unique theme.
Who is your all-time favorite deviant artist?: There are so many...I have a full list on my profile page, but I suppose some of my top favorites are Keithwormwood, REYKAT, MadLittleClown and one of my biggest inspirations, CB Webb. (may contain NSFW) cbwebb.tumblr.com/
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? I've met several people IRL and then found them on DA, but never the other way around. I'm actually slightly terrified of meeting people I've met online in person (voice chat excluded) in fear of being a disappointment. I'm working on that bit. I would love to meet people, I'm just quite nervous.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? Maybe a little indirectly, but Retromissile has been very inspirational to me over the years, and watching her on DA made me realize that I could grow if I just kept trying. I hope that doesn't sound creepy of me or anything, haha.
What are your preferred tools to create art?: Wacom Intous 4, Manga Studio 5XE mechanical pencil, eraser, keyboard.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?: I think music and art hit me more than location does. My favorite groups that inspire me are City of the Fallen and Really Slow Motion. I do surround myself with lots of plants in my workspace, but that's more of a relaxation thing than an inspirational one. I wish I had more light in my room...you can never have enough plants. :U
What is your favorite DeviantArt memory? Changing my name from oOGuardianOo to Rhavencroft, I suppose. New identity, away!
